is there anything new or interesting happening in Jazz music?

I want to know if any emerging artists are taking the genre in a new
direction ... a bit bored of listening to text book Jazz. Don't mind
any fusion Jazz but please not more of the same stuff that's been
around since the 80's. I wanna hear something new with Jazz
inflections and influences.
